This week I worked out the wireframe structure for the iPad reading experience. There will be illustrations with idle animations on each page. There will be an option to pause the illustration motion so that it doesn’t distract from the reading. The menu will be a dropdown and display each of the nine circle of hell as well as the home screen and resources.credits page.

The right side will feature a scrollable frame that contains the text. There will be buttons at the top to change the text to the next canto, since there are multiple cantos that all take place in one circle of hell. Some text will also be highlighted, or an icon will appear, to give a description of that word, phrase, or passage for better understanding as you read.

This coming week I will put together a color palette to send along with this wireframe out into the world of illustrators. The finding of willing and able illustrators to art direct will be the most difficult part of the project I fear. Wish me luck!
